Delete your Outlayr account
Outlayr is an expense tracker made by danestves LLC. This page explains how to delete your Outlayr account, what is deleted, and what is kept.
Contents
Delete your account in the app
- If you subscribe to Outlayr Pro, cancel it in your app store. Deleting your account doesn’t cancel it.
- In Outlayr, open Settings › Account.
- Tap Delete account, then Delete to confirm. To also erase Outlayr’s data on the phone, tap Delete account and erase this device, then Erase device, instead.
You may be asked to sign in again first. Deletion starts right away and runs from your phone. If it’s interrupted, open Settings › Account again and the app picks up where it stopped.
To keep a copy of your ledger, use Settings › Export data before you delete.
Without the app
If you can’t use the app, write to support@tryoutlayr.com and ask us to delete your account. We may ask you to write from the email address on your account so we can confirm the request is yours. We answer within one month.
Cancel Outlayr Pro
Your app store bills Outlayr Pro, so deleting your account doesn’t cancel it.
- iPhone: open the Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Outlayr, then Cancel Subscription.
- Android: open the Google Play Store app, tap your profile picture, then Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions, then Outlayr, then Cancel subscription.
What is deleted
- Outlayr’s access to your Apple or Google sign-in is revoked.
- Your synced ledger: entries, transfers, accounts, budgets, savings goals, categories, tags, and the records of entries you deleted.
- Photos backed up to our file storage.
- Pending merchant suggestions, open voice conversations, and usage counters.
- AI assistant connections and their access keys.
- Our copy of your subscription records, and your customer record at RevenueCat.
- Your PostHog analytics profile and every event linked to it.
- Your sessions, the link to your Apple or Google account, and your account with its email and name.
What is kept
| Data | Where | How long |
|---|---|---|

| Data our service providers already received | Those providers | Their policies |
| Emails you sent us | Our inbox | As long as needed, or until you ask us to delete them |
| The ledger on your phone | Your device | Until you erase it or delete the app |
Our Privacy Policy lists each provider and what it receives.
The ledger on your phone
Deleting your account leaves the ledger on the phone, unless you choose Delete account and erase this device. That also removes Outlayr’s database, photos, widget data, scheduled reminders, and saved sign-in details, and on iPhone its Spotlight entries. The system keeps control of permissions and widget placement.
If you never signed in, nothing of your ledger is on our servers and there is no account to delete. Settings › Erase data clears your entries, transfers, and every photo Outlayr stored on the phone, including images on accounts, and your budgets if you choose. Your accounts, categories, savings goals, tags, and settings stay, and so do entries already in Recently deleted. Deleting the app removes everything.
